When capturing deployment experience, how should we differentiate our experience deployed verses our time in garrison, our mission and optempo were completely different but i am not sure if companies will recognize that difference. Should we combine garrison and deployment or separate the two?

• The functional resume that you will complete is position-by-position and will focus on the skills you demonstrated or gained, the metrics of your successes.
• Now, if one of the positions was overseas, even for a portion, then highlight the unique skills you gained there (e.g. cross-cultural collaboration, complex problem-solving).
