How long should I wait to follow up with a company after submitting salary negotiation response? Currently they have passed their committed deadline to contact me back with their final answer...

• They should aspire to respond within 3 business days, but that is not the case in all companies. 
• For any increases, the recruiter has to track down the hiring manager who owns the budget.
• If 3 days have passed, please send a follow up letter to the hiring manager and recruiter. Forward the e-mail you sent with the negotiation letter to make it easy for them (assure the letter is attached).
• If you have the Hiring Manager's card, feel free to leave them a voicemail, too, even on their cell phone. Write out what you will say when you get VM, as well, so you are prepared.
